I have not posted for a while for the reasoning of the holiday.
We had such a good holiday. Jacob had at least 5 Christmases. He loved it.
Me and Mario are positive this year was interesting. We think we will have an interesting one this coming year too. We just hope that we build a better one on top of that tho.

We have been through so much, Ex's which there is a few I want to say a few things to. But I will save their humiliations.
I hate drama queens, and their mothers. I know it may seem like I am , but I only state facts, not fluffly goodness.
The thing that shocked me the most is the trouble people will go through to make our life seem harder, or try to make it difficult... Guess what, we made it through some big stressful things and you cannot make it hardr on us. the only way it will be harder on us is if we let it happen.
This goes too all the exs in the world, not just mine or Mario's. I am talk about anyone's ex. You cannot stress anyone out, unless that person lets you get to them.
I prove it more than most know. I have a skip in my step and a smile on my face. I love the way our lives are and With the new year coming, I see blissful things happening.

our life in a nut shell

I figured I would post today, so I think I will post once a week or so.
Well I want to start my "soap" off with the story of how me and my husband met and end with today. So a little over 2 years of info. Sorry I will summarize the story.
We met on myyearbook.com. I was in a relationship at that time, but we were just friends (me and mario) at that time. When me and the other guy broke up, me and mario started to date, May 25 2009. We had a bumpy road with friends leaving, family passing and just typical relationship problems we made it through. Then we discovered mario had a 2 year old son. We were both shocked because we never knew a child existed or even created. So DNA tests were preformed and it was proven, 99.9998%. His son is Jacob, and he lives in Michigan. We live in Ohio, and it is about 5 hours apart from each other. We met him in June of 2011, we have also been seeking custody of him since June 2011.
The reason for us wanting custody is not to be mean or nothing, but for the welfare for Jacob. The reason Mario and I were notified of his existence is because Michigan Department of Human Services found Mario on Facebook.com. and that is because the mother neglected to take care of the child and lost him to the state. Failure to thrive is what they put the reasons down. He was 1 1/2 years old and he only weighted 14 lbs and 3 oz. Even though we just become involved and in June, they proceeded with letting the mother getting custody back of Jacob, but she only has physical custody, but DHS has final say for Jacob. We are still going to fight for him though.
We started getting overnight visits from Monday to Wednesday, this started on Monday the 7th of November of 2011. It is wonderful, he is such an angel with us.
On Monday 12/12/11 we went for out pretrial for custody. On 1/17/12 we go for the trial. We only hope everything with be for the best for Jacob and not something he will have to suffer with. I would hate for him to go through any physical or emotional pain as he did up to this day.

My first blog
Well this is new to me. I guess I will use this time to take u through an introduction.
Well my name is Jessica. I am a happily married woman, to my husband Mario. He has a son, name is Jacob. He is not from me, but I treat him like he is. I want to protect him from harm and be there for him if I am needed.
The mother does not like me much, it is OK though. She does not need to like me, Jacob and Mario love me. Same with my family, friends and his family. That is all that matters to me.
I am currently in college, last year or so. I work as a Tech Support Rep for cell phones.
I will give more details in the days to come.
